Our second annual Gala concluded on Thursday evening and it was a tremendous success for our young company. One item, however, went unclaimed in the silent auction, and if you are receiving this email, you either attended the event, or indicated interest but couldn’t make it on the night, and we thought the last prize might be of interest to you in a second-chance auction.

The prize, offered by our Gala chair, Omar Kahn, is Dinner for 4 prepared by private chef Yann Nury, who has worked with some of the top chefs in France and Daniel Boulud here and is now in global demand for his thrilling and luxurious culinary creations, at your residence, or at his residence if you prefer. The 5 course 'luxe' menu, awash with rare ingredients, sourced locally and from France will be composed in concert with you by Chef Nury and President of and Founder of The International Business and Wine Society, Omar Khan (who hosts such evenings worldwide) and who will also curate an exciting array of wines to accompany the evening: vintage Champagne, Grand Cru Burgundies, Mature First Growth Bordeaux, and stellar Sauternes. Mr. and Mrs. Khan will attend to help harmonize the whole experience, bridging between the dishes and the rare wines. Estimated Value, $5000.

For those that don't know Omar Khan, we can assure  you that his taste in food and wine alone would make this an evening to remember. To sweeten the pot even further, some of the New Camerata Opera founders will offer some music before dinner in the form of a serenade. The winner will be in for a night to remember. This prize is offered to the highest bid, over the $2000 minimum, received by 3PM on Friday. The proceeds will benefit New Camerata Opera which seeks to engage, excite, and educate through immersive performances that break down barriers and inspire the fans of the future. We offer unique programming, from a macabre performance in the hottest nightclub in Brooklyn on Friday the 13th, to innovative children’s performances in libraries and schools in NYC, to an online audience with video operas distributed on YouTube.

Lesley Dill, one of the most prominent American artists working at the intersection of language and fine art, has paired with composer Richard Marriott, Artistic Director and Founder of the acclaimed Clubfoot Orchestra, to create DIVIDE LIGHT - a new opera based on the text of Emily Dickinson.

First produced in 2008 at The Montalvo Arts Center in California, DIVIDE LIGHT is currently being re-conceived for performances in Spring 2018. This new iteration of DIVIDE LIGHT is designed to feature the collaborative operatic ensemble New Camerata Opera, a bold new force in the New York opera scene.
