Audience Requirements

Audience members will be required to provide proof of full vaccination to enter the performance venue.

  • Full vaccination of COVID-19 is defined as two weeks after your 2nd shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or two weeks after your one shot of the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine.

  • Proof of vaccination is required for all who are eligible to enter the building and masks are required regardless of vaccination status.

  • Proof of vaccination includes showing your paper vaccination card or a photocopy of it for review by NCO staff or providing your vaccine passport via the Excelsior Pass or NYC COVID Safe app. For more information or to download these apps, please visit https://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/covid/covid-19-main.page.

  • All performers are vaccinated and will be unmasked for performances.

  • NCO will NOT require testing of audience members but will adhere to testing protocols for performers and staff.

  • Patrons who are sick, exhibiting symptoms, or who have had recent exposure to COVID-19 must stay home. Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea. Full refunds will be offered to patrons who stay home due to symptoms associated with COVID-19.

  • Should someone test positive for COVID-19, NCO is required to report this to the New York State Department of Health, and patrons will be contacted by a contact tracer.

  • For questions regarding our COVID-19 safety protocols, please contact Stan Lacy, Operations Director at stan@newcamerataopera.org.
